A Night to Remember: Our First Chesterton House Foundation Dinner

Our very first Chesterton House Foundation Dinner was everything we hoped it would be — an evening full of warmth, generosity, and good food shared in great company.

Hosted at Radmoor Restaurant, part of Loughborough College’s renowned catering and hospitality programme, the evening celebrated not only the Foundation but also the talent and promise of the next generation of chefs and hospitality professionals.

A Menu with Meaning

We set the students a creative brief: to design a three-course menu inspired by the grants the Foundation has awarded to local causes. They rose to the challenge brilliantly.

From the thoughtful combination of flavours to the beautifully presented dishes, each course told its own story — one of care, community, and the difference small acts of giving can make. The meal was superb, and the standard of service exceptional, reflecting the dedication and skill that will no doubt take these students far in their future careers.

A special mention goes to Amy, who together with two fellow students, led the menu design, and to all of the students who worked so hard to make the evening such a success.

Inspiring Stories of Change

Nigel Swan, Chairman at Helping Hands Community Trust spoke at the Chesterton House Foundation DinnerOn the night, we also had an inspiring update: to date, the Chesterton House Foundation has supported 28 different causes with a total of £29,000 in grants. You can read about some of the groups we’ve helped here. We’re always updating news of who we’ve supported: check back for updates or sign up for our newsletter to receive monthly news.

We were delighted to welcome Nigel Swan, Chairman of Helping Hands, one of the local organisations supported by the Foundation. Nigel spoke with passion and heart about the work Helping Hands does to support people in need — offering free, caring professional advice to those who need it most. Hearing first hand about the impact that Foundation grants can have brought home exactly why this work matters.

Guests also enjoyed the premiere of our new Foundation video, featuring stories from some of the causes we’ve been proud to support so far.

Making a Difference Together

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, through ticket sales and donations on the night, we raised just over £1,000 — enough to fund a full grant for another local project.

It was a wonderful evening that perfectly captured the spirit of the Chesterton House Foundation: people coming together to make a positive difference in their community.
