Bringing Light to Dark Days: How Jasmine’s Legacy of Dreams is Changing Lives

At the Chesterton House Foundation, we’re proud to support local charities that truly change lives — and Jasmine’s Legacy of Dreams is one of those special organisations.

Created in loving memory of Jasmine Moseley, this remarkable charity carries forward her heartfelt vision: to bring moments of joy, relief, and hope to young people living with cancer.

Diagnosed at just 18, Jasmine understood better than anyone how isolating and overwhelming cancer treatment can be. During her 18-month journey, she dreamed of a charity that went beyond the basics – one that would lift spirits and make space for fun, connection, and recovery.

Although Jasmine didn’t live to see her idea come to life, her family turned her dream into action. Today, Jasmine’s Legacy of Dreams supports teenagers and young adults aged 13 to 24 across the East Midlands, offering emotional, practical, and financial support when it’s needed most.

Support That Makes a Real Difference

The charity’s work is deeply personal. Every grant is designed to ease the heavy burden cancer places on young people and their families, offering relief in ways that truly matter:

  • Family holidays to create lasting memories during the hardest of times.
  • Tickets to concerts, theatre shows, and theme parks, offering young people a chance to feel like themselves again.
  • Wellbeing support, including tailored physical and mental health courses.
  • Essential equipment, such as electric mobility aids, specialist mattresses, and technology to stay connected while undergoing treatment.

And it doesn’t stop there. For those rebuilding their lives after treatment, the charity provides practical help – from funding driving lessons to tools and equipment – so they can take their next steps into education, training, or work with confidence.

Meeting Growing Demand

As word spreads and the charity’s reputation grows, so does the demand for its services. More young people and families are reaching out for help, and Jasmine’s Legacy of Dreams is stepping up to meet that need.

Thanks to tireless fundraising and a committed network of supporters, the charity keeps its running costs low – ensuring donations go straight to the people who need them most.

Most recently, a dedicated grant is helping the charity expand its support across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, and Derbyshire. This funding will bring much-needed relief to even more young people in our region, offering everything from wellbeing support to unforgettable experiences.

Honouring Jasmine’s Dream

What makes this charity so special is its heart. Jasmine’s courage and compassion live on through every gift and every grant. Families regularly share how the charity has helped them feel seen, supported, and uplifted during one of the most difficult times in their lives.

It’s more than support—it’s a reminder that they’re not alone.
