Important news about the Open Banking Service on our Portal

You may already be aware that until recently we’ve been able to offer Open Banking through your Personal Finance Portal (PFP), which allows you to connect your bank accounts to your personal profile so that you can see all your bank balances in one place.

Unfortunately, the Open Banking provider that Intelliflo (which powers your Personal Finance Portal) partnered with is leaving the financial services market. Combined with low uptake and feedback from users that the service hasn’t been hitting the mark, Intelliflo have decided to retire the Open Banking feature from 27th May 2026. They’re continuing to explore alternatives, and we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.

Why is the Open Banking service retiring?

The third-party provider that Intelliflo partnered with to deliver Open Banking is leaving the financial services market. Alongside this, feedback from users suggested the service wasn’t quite working as well as it should. Rather than continue with something that wasn’t delivering, Intelliflo have taken the decision to retire it and look at what a better solution might look like.

What will happen to my data?

Your linked account information will remain visible in your portal after 27th May, but daily balance updates will have stopped. Six months from that date, your linked account information and any associated transaction history will be automatically removed. The third-party provider will permanently delete all client data they hold by 29th May 2026.

Do I need to do anything?

No, the changes happen automatically in the background.

Will this affect my progress meeting?

It may do. Because live balance updates have stopped, any accounts that were previously linked through Open Banking will still show in your portal but the balances may no longer be accurate. Those figures will need to be updated manually ahead of your meeting. Our administrators will be in touch before your meeting to let you know what information we’ll need from you.
