How the Chesterton House Foundation is Supporting… Darts For All

Some of the best community ideas are beautifully simple. A safe space. A friendly face. Something to do together.

An inclusive group based in Loughborough, Leicestershire., based in Loughborough, is exactly that. Founded by Gary Siddons — himself a wheelchair user — it’s a fully inclusive, alcohol-free darts session held weekly at John Storer House. Gary’s vision was clear: to build a space where darts could be enjoyed without barriers – no matter your mobility, experience level or social circumstances.

An Inclusive and Welcoming Space

With Gary’s vision in mind, he created a fully inclusive and welcoming space that’s open to everyone, regardless of physical abilities or background, including people in recovery from substance abuse, wheelchair users, and those living with anxiety. Whether beginner or seasoned pub league players, all are welcome.

Established in June 2025, the group is already making an impact. Sessions are regularly drawing 25 to 30 people, with competitions, fun games and a strong social element that brings very different people together.

Support from the Chesterton House Foundation

The Chesterton House Foundation is pleased to support Darts for All with a grant of £500, which will go towards covering room hire at John Storer House, which gives the group a stable foundation to build from as it grows its membership and works towards becoming financially self-sufficient.

We’re excited to see Darts for All evolve – it’s certainly a project that demonstrates why the Foundation exists: supporting local grassroots groups that make a positive impact on the lives of those in our community.
